Residents to have their say on match day parking

PARKING bosses say they want to measure the support of residents in roads which are clogged up by football fans parking on match days before parking restrictions are introduced.

Mile End Road residents are set to be consulted by the North Essex Parking Partnership on whether they want restrictions put in place.

The matter had been put to a regular meeting of the partnership, but bosses decided to defer a decision until residents have their say.

A North Essex Parking Partnership spokeswoman said: “To help inform the way forward, the partnership will work with local residents to establish if there is support for a scheme in the area.”
