Robert and Laura Strathern of Fairfields Farm were crowned the best local supplier of the year
A COLCHESTER food producer has been crowned the best local supplier in Essex.
Fairfields Farm, based in Fordham Road, Wormingford, took the top gong at an awards ceremony held by the East of England Co-operative on Saturday.
Winners were voted for by customers and members of the society.
The Wormingford-based farm supplies the society’s food stores with its Sourced Locally range of crisps as well as many varieties of potato.
