A STARLET has landed a role in a television ad for this year’s Children in Need.

Jasmine Skingle, eight, features in the cast of six youngsters playing together at an imaginary fete.

She can be seen wearing fairy wings and carrying a giant Pudsey bear - the official mascot of the children’s charity.

Jasmine, who attends St Mary’s Lower School, Copford, is no stranger to being in front of the camera after winning a role in a commercial for an Irish mobile phone provider last year.

Proud mum, Katie, said this latest role was less of a challenge.

She said: “The fact it is a drama piece that also relates to a children’s charity means a lot to her."

The ad is already on TV to promote the Children in Need night on November 16.

Not to be outshone, Katie also managed to sneak on camera after being asked to make a cameo as a parent.
