Colchester Fire Station could close

COLCHESTER Fire Station is expected to close and be replaced with two smaller stations.
Chief Fire Officer David Johnson, the head of Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, wants to have two alternative stations in the north and south of the town.
Mr Johnson claims the station is not fit for purpose and it is not in the right location considering the growth and changes in Colchester.
