• A GRANDMOTHER has admitted repeatedly assaulting a man.

Sarah Stott admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm on February 23.

She also admitted assault by beating between February 9 and February 23 on the same victim.

Stott, 50, of Hillman Avenue, Clacton, was remanded into custody and will be sentenced once a report is prepared by the probation service.

  • A MAN must complete 40 hours of unpaid work after breaching terms of a restraining order.

Paul Pilgrim, 44, of Hazelton Road, Colchester, admitted attending an address in Colchester between December 18 and February 28 which he had been forbidden from doing in a restraining order.

Pilgrim was must complete 40 hours of supervised unpaid work and pay £85 costs.

  • A MAN has been fined after failing to comply with requirements of a community order.

Daniel Southgate, of Bluebell Avenue, Colchester, was fined £60 at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court after failing to comply with a community order.

He also paid court costs of £50.

  • A COLCHESTER man has been fined more than £200 after admitted to using a mobile phone while driving.

Jason Moore, 35, of Smallwood Road, Colchester, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrate’s Court where he admitted using a mobile phone while driving on March 3 last year at Marks Tey in Colchester.

Moore was fined £220 and was ordered to pay £90 in court costs.

  • A WOMAN has been ordered to pay more than £100 after being caught speeding.

Emma Collins, of Fiddlers Folly, Colchester, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrate’s Court where she admitted driving at 66mph in a 40mph limit zone on a trunk road near Witham on September 14 last year.

Collins was fined £67 and was ordered to pay surcharges of £90 and £30 to cover court and victim services.

  • A WOMAN has been accused of stabbing a man in the foot with a knife.

Kathleen Loveday appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court via video link on Friday.

She was due to enter her plea after being charged with one count of wounding without intent.

It is alleged she wounded a man in Clacton on February 23.

Loveday, 25, of The Square, Loughton, did not enter a plea because the hearing was adjourned.

Further assessments will be carried out in the meantime with a new plea date in April.
