FANS of Us’ star George Moncur can quite literally have the shirt off his back from the epic FA Cup match against Spurs.

Colchester United has launched an online auction to gift the number 10 shirt to the highest bidder.

Midfielder Moncur, 22, had hoped to swap his shirt with Tottenham’s star strike Harry Kane after the match.

But the switch didn’t happen and now the shirt is being sold to raise money for club funds.

Although the U’s suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat, the shirt met its auction reserve price of £65 in just a few hours.

Matt Hudson, media manager at the club, said: “George Moncur is one of our main star men.

“He’s a top scorer and a popular player amongst fans.

“Most football shirts at auction will meet their reserved price but the most we’ve had one sell for was a couple of hundred pounds, which was Freddie Sears’ just after he’d left to play at Ipswich Town.

“George’s shirt is particularly special because it’s the first time we’ve had a shirt with FA Cup badges on the sleeves.”

The auction closes on Friday at 8pm. To bid, visit http://reminiscent.colchesterunited.net/
