Power cut affects hundreds of homes
HUNDREDS of homes were left without electricity last night because of a power cut.
A fault on an underground cable affected 490 properties in Lexden at 10.25pm.
Most were reconnected over night, but four are still without power this morning.
A spokesman from UK Power Networks said: “UK Power Networks engineers are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore electricity supplies to four customers in Lexden.
“We understand how difficult it is to be without electricity and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
