A POLICE patrol car was caught in high water.
The two officers in the car had to call for help from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service as well as the Mersea Coastguard Rescue Team.
The incident happened shortly after 1.20am yesterday morning on The Strood, between Colchester and Mersea Island.
When the tide receded, the waterlogged patrol car was towed.
