COLCHESTER lottery winner Eloise Heard has revealed how she has been spending her £1million-plus windfall – including on her own home and business.

Former Co-op supermarket worker Eloise won £1,346,830 on a Lotto jackpot three years ago.

At the time, the former Alderman Blaxill and Colchester Institute student celebrated her win with a modest pub dinner with her fiance, David.

Since then Eloise, 22 has revealed she has spent her riches on a dream wedding earlier this year, and a honeymoon in the USA.

Speaking as the National Lottery marked its 20th anniversary, Eloise said she had also bought a car and a house, and used some of the money to set up her mobile beauty business, while David, 28, has set up an online toy company. She said: “When I won, I was able to treat my family, which was an amazing feeling.

“David and I have taken our time spending the money, using it to invest in the big things in life, such as our home and wedding.

“We’re both working hard to get our businesses going, but knowing we have financial security at such a young age is phenomenal.”
