PEOPLE are being advised to attend organised firework displays rather than host their own after another round of firefighter strikes was announced.
Members of the Fire Brigades Union will strike for four days from 6pm on Friday to 6pm on November 4.
An Essex County Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “The best way to keep you and your family safe is to attend an organised display.
“Essex will have strong resilience arrangements in place to protect the county with working crews providing cover.”
The national strike is in response to changes to pensions which could see firefighters tackling blazes into their sixties.
