A DECISION on plans for another primary school in north Colchester is due to be made by Essex County Council next Friday.
Essex County Council wants to start building the 420-place Braiswick New Academy, in Apprentice Drive.
Pre-application proposals have already attracted opposition from two groups of residents in Apprentice Drive, which will be used to access the school, and Fernlea, from which school traffic will leave.
The school, sponsored by the Learning Pathways Trust, is scheduled to open in September next year and would create 52 jobs.
Like the Severalls Primary School, it will have two storeys and 14 classrooms.
The Government is paying £4.2million for the school and the council £800,000.
