Sito is not being offered a new contract by Ipswich Town.

The defender has been told he will be leaving the club when his current deal expires next month.

In addition to the Spaniard, Town have also confirmed - as expected - that they will not be offering new contracts to Fabian Wilnis and Sylvain Legwinski.

And boss Jim Magilton has said he will listen to offers for five of his fringe players - Gavin Williams, Billy Clarke, Dan Harding, Matt Richards and Gavin Roberts.

Meanwhile, Town are close to arranging two friendlies against Premier League opposition.

Two provisional dates have been put aside - Saturday, July 26 and Monday, August 4.

As part of their pre-season preparations, Town are also going on a tour of Northern Ireland.

I saw Sito play and score against Scunthorpe, and when Harding was taken off at half time away to Charlton, Jim brought Sito on and we played much better in the second half. Then he had a run of games and was excellent. I always thought Jim favoured Harding over Sito, but why? Harding has shown he is clearly intimidated in the big games, where as Sito's tackling and passing are far superior. he shows real "attitude in the games he plays, something which Jim is always insisting his players have. What's the problme Jim? Explain yourself. He's crowd favourite!
