Hat-trick of golds for archers

A trio of archers from Colchester and District Archery Club took gold medals at the Green Dragon Open Windsor competition at Knebworth Park.

James and Anna King won the club compound category as well as the married couples award with a score of 1,911 out of a possible 1,944.

Anna also went on to win the ladies' category with 962 out of a possible 972, giving both her and James county records for their scores.

Colchester junior Ed Kearse was not to be outdone and took gold in the junior men's recurve, scoring 928 for another new Essex county record.
