Three Wise Monkeys have a cracking line-up of live music this Easter weekend.

It all starts tomorrow (Saturday) with a whole host of local big name acts getting together in aid of raising funds and awareness for the Homeless community in Essex.

Musicians Against Homelessness have previously raised money for the expansion of the night shelter and have had lots of clothes/toys/blankets donated to the group which they have then given to Colchester clothes bank and The Womans Refuge.

Now they’re taking to the stage on the top floor of the High Street venue with headliners Ghosts of Men leading the way.

They’ll be joined by singer/songwriter Natasha Robertson, electro punk four-piece Killatrix and The Widdershins.

Entry is £3 on the doors, which open from 8pm.

Then on Easter Sunday back on the top floor there’s more live music from some well known faces including Wivenhoe’s Lou Terry, who back in January was awarded the Joe Allard commission at the Colchester Arts Centre to experiment with some new sounds.

Also on the bill will be Shanghai Blues and Sam Eagle and the Lemon Lizards while headliners will be Rubber Jaw, who since forming out of the remnants of Ordinary Noise and The Catriana’s have been making quite a name for themselves.

Entry for this gig is just £4, again available on the doors, which open from 9pm.
