THERE’S no end of festive fun with a feast of entertainment over the Christmas holidays in Clacton.

The town’s theatres go into overdrive with a packed programme of Yuletide shows.

Beauty and the Beast is halfway through its run at the Princes, which ends on New Year’s Day.

Over at the West Cliff there is still a chance to catch the theatre’s new all-singing, all-dancing Christmas Show. It stars Adam Daye, who was a big hit with audiences when he performed in the West Cliff’s 2016 Summer Show season.

The Christmas Show opened this week and runs until tomorrow with afternoon and evening performances each day.

Theatre-goers can also see in the New Year at the West Cliff with double bill of panto fun – kicking off with the magical tale of Aladdin.

Also produced by AJL Theatrical’s Aaron Lissimore, the youth production promises to be a rollercoaster ride with flying carpets, a wish-granting genie, evil sorcerer and a lampful of laughs.

There is laugh-out-loud comedy, magical special effects, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and cheers.

The show runs from December 30 to January 1 and tickets are £14 or £12 concessions.

Hot on the heels of Aladdin, there’s a second dose of festive action when Clacton Musical Theatre Society return to the West Cliff Theatre with Puss In Boots.

Tom and his friends set off on a quest to rescue Jill from the clutches of the evil Baron Blackheart in a show packed with songs from Olly Murs and Queen to the Lion King and Moana.

Puss In Boots runs from January 25 to 28. Tickets are £10, available from the box office on 01255 433344.
