PUMPKINFEST made a welcome return to Barleylands this half term as families enjoyed a host of ghoulish activities.

There was lots of fiendish fun for all the family to enjoy, including laser ghost busting which proved a popular attraction.

There was also spooky pumpkin biscuit decorating and even a chance to step inside the giant pumpkin globe.

Visitors could also face their fears and get up close and personal with spine-chilling snakes, terrifying tarantulas and a whole host of creepy critters in the Snakes Alive Reptile House.

Every child visiting the park got a free pumpkin and had a great time carving it into spooky scenes ready for Halloween.

Hundreds of children enjoyed the event over the half term week and the farm gave away lots of pumpkins to lots of happy children.

Limited tickets are still available for Spooky Fest at Barleylands, in Billericay.

Held after dark, the two evenings will be packed with thrills, spills and chills for tots to young teens.

As always, there will be plenty of spooktactular family friendly activities including a huge fairground ghost train, haunted fairground house, boo barn, witches walk, haze maze, creepy reptile cave, Halloween disco and spooky games.

Book tickets, priced from £9.80 at barleylands.co.uk
