Mayor of Basildon David Harrison cut the ribbon to open the refurbished Quays restaurant and Sports Bar at the Festival Leisure Park Basildon.
He was welcomed by general manager Judy Piper who said: “ We are pleased that David and his wife Linda were able to be here to meet all of the staff and cut the ribbon”.
Councillor Harrison added “The work that has been done, has made the Quays into a very nice and welcoming environment, I wish Judy all the success in the future, and thank her for the support that she, and the Quays, is giving to my charities”
The charities are “Be Child Cancer Aware” and the Polly Parrot Appeal at Basildon Hospital. Be Child Cancer Aware provide information in order to raise awareness of cancer in children, teenagers and young adults and the Polly Parrot Appeal raises funds for the children’s wards at Basildon Hospital.
