Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are taking their musical talents to the big screen for a new movie that already sounds excellent – and we don’t even know the full plot.
The project is an R-rated musical comedy featuring two pilots on a misadventure, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Channing is famous for his dance moves, having starred in the original 2006 film Step Up and showing off some more raunchy moves in Magic Mike and its sequel.
Upcoming film Hail, Caesar! promises to give us a glimpse of Channing’s voice too as he tap dances and sings on camera in a Gene Kelly-style musical for the Coen Brothers’ Hollywood Golden Era comedy.
Joseph, on the other hand, has alreadyproven he has musical prowess – performing in (500) Days of Summer and on his show Hitrecord! On TV.
And of course, both have showed off their singular talent on Lip Sync Battle in the US with Channing dressing as Beyonce and JGL as Janet Jackson.
The as-yet-untitled new project has been picked up by Universal with 21 Jump Street writer Michael Bacall signed on to pen the script and Wicked’s Broadway producers Marc Platt and Adam Siegel to produce.
This will be the third time the Channing and Joseph have appeared on film together: first in 2005′s Havoc and then in 2008′s Stop-Loss.
