This year’s Britain’s Got Talent has managed to rack up a rather diverse bunch of performers – from hypnotising dogs to comb players (yes, that’s a real thing).

In the third semi-final, nine acts were whittled down to just two and last up to wow the judges and audiences at home was magician Jamie Raven.

At his first audition, he managed to stun Simon and co with his mesmerising card trick and tonight he was back in full form to conjure up a little more magic.

Having asked the judges to think of an object in their head, Jamie proceeded to materialise their chosen items from thin air – David’s goldfish, Alesha’s ice cube and even Amanda’s helicopter.

When it came down to Simon, it turned out he’d chosen a rather mundane object, a shoe. But low and behold within a split second Jamie was standing one stage holding his own shoe up to the audience to claps and cheers.

While the judges and we at home alike were left scratching our heads wondering how the hell he slipped his shoe off without us even noticing, some eagle-eyed Twitter users thought they’d manage to catch him out in the act…
