THE votes have been counted and the winners of our Rock the Park Competition are Cav OK and It's A Trap.
And the two bands couldn't be more diverse in terms of how long they have been playing.
While Cav OK have been building up a huge fan base, not just here but right across the country, for the last three years, It's A Trap have only been together a matter of months.
That said the three-piece made-up of Andrew Major, Simon Wilson and Ben Ward have been making huge waves on the local gig circuit and are already attracting some industry attention.
Cav OK have been mainstays of the local gig scene for a while now but according to band member Damian Tyler have always better received elsewhere.
Now it appears that has all changed and after telling him the band, also made-up of Damian's brother Ben, Barry Kenyon, Paul Fuller and Scott Gray, had been selected to play the huge open air concert he was delighted to say the least.
Damian said: "That's brilliant news. When we saw the competition advertised in the local press we all thought we must go for it.
"It's going to be an amazing gig and fortunately we've got an EP coming out so that's pretty good timing really."
