Eva Longoria is rumoured to be dating an American football player.

The Desperate Housewives actress, who recently split from Penelope Cruz' brother Eduardo Cruz after dating for 16 months, has been on a string of dates with New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, according to InTouch.

Eva - who split from basketball player husband Tony Parker in 2010 - was apparently seen shopping with Mark in New Jersey, where the sports star has a home, and they enjoyed "an island-hopping adventure in the Caribbean".

The pair were also spotted having a meal in New York with a group of friends.

A source said: "They were laughing and having a great time."

However, it seems Eva is trying to keep things under wraps as she was reportedly wearing a blonde wig at the meal.
