I MISSED 90 per cent of Reverend and the Makers' set on the 4Music stage because I was watching Travis in the JJB Arena.
But I arrived in time to catch an unforgettable festival moment.
The band had finished up on He Said He Loved Me – finished up on stage in any case.
A couple of minutes after the set ended, frontman John McClure was spotted running up the slope away from the stage, guitar in hand and being followed by an excited dozen or so fans.
He made his way to the top of the hill and played for 10-minutes.
It was a memory to cherish for the lucky few who witnessed McClure’s impromptu performance.
