Sometimes, the choice of who to use in a particular game or movie is so obvious, which is why Vin Diesel appeared in the Fast and the Furious and now in Wheelman.

In fact, he is the wheel man, the chap who uses the wheel of his vehicle to do extraordinary things. Live drive fast.

And as this is a 16 rated game, use it as a weapon too. Which may upset some people.

Having the name of a fuel in your name will bring you to the attention of producers in a flash.

The storyline as you might imagine, is imaginative. Mr Vin, or you, is escaping from nasty Mafia types in America.

So you might expect he goes somewhere nice, away from a life of crime, and settle down to grow plants for this Xbox 360 game.

No. He goes to Barcelona where he has a criminal past. Nice move. However, as Flower Tycoon is not on the drawing board yet, we see our anti-hero having to do long complex battle with various gang factions. While in a car. Saves too much running about I guess.

The makers admit they have concentrated on “over the top” vehicle combat, which should appeal to those who enjoyed the GTA series.

Stylish extreme stuns is what this is all about. The city is populated well enough, and the action sequences are more than adequate.

It is a polished effort and should be in your collection if this sort of thing is your bag. There are many more far worse driving games than this around.

And there is some online mayhem to enjoy too.
