For Everything A Reason formed a year-and-a-half ago in college, originally as a four-piece under the name Dark Fire.
This incarnation of the band played many shows around the local area.
December 2007 saw Tom Dean taking over vocal duties.
His introduction to the band saw the band take a different approach to their music, incorporating a harder edge and an overall heavier sound.
In February 2008 the band won the Colchester Institute's Battle of The Bands and changed their name to For Everything A Reason.
