CLACTON’S Mad About Theatre Company has put the great into Great Britain, the Panto.
The company took the adjudicator’s award for its energetic and exuberant performance Great Britain, the Panto at the Brantham Play Festival. Cast members from Clacton wowed Jenny Burke, the adjudicator, who said the show was “a mind-blowing, fast-paced comedy show with fabulous costumes and powerful energy”.
The cast are putting the finishing touches to the panto that will kick off the festive season at the West Cliff Theatre, in Tower Road, Clacton, on Saturday.
The show, written and directed by Indi Allen, will be celebrating 100 years of Macmillan Cancer Support. There will be a celebration wall at the event to post your messages.
Tickets are £5 and £3, from 01255 474000. There are performances of the flag-waving musical at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday.
