THE New Year often brings change, and for many people this can mean a new career avenue.
For those looking for a job change, a trip to the Chelmsford Weekly News – the Gazette’s sister paper – Jobs, Careers and Training Exhibition in Chelmsford this month is a must.
The exhibition is set to take place at Shire Hall, at the top of High Street, Chelmsford, on Thursday, January 22, from 11am to 6pm.
This is the second Chelmsford Weekly News Jobs and Training Exhibition to take place, and the response from companies exhibiting has been good.
The event will be full of businesses giving helpful advice with the aim of getting perspective job hunters the career they desire.
Visitors will be able to get advice on full, part-time and further education courses, as well as careers advice from Anglia Ruskin University, Seetec, Master Tiling School and the Adult Community Learning.
There will also be a number of recruitment companies such Essex SCP and Summer Care, all looking to take on new recruits.
Other companies attending the event include Autism Anglia, Job Centre Plus, Avon Cosmetics, Bensons School of Motoring.
For those looking to work as part of a team and wanting a job which is challenging but rewarding, the Royal Air Force will be on hand to discuss the various jobs and roles available.
The CV surgery will once again be open, where the Chelmsford Weekly News team will be showing job seekers how to upload their CV to the new and improved CV database.
Make sure you take along a CD-Rom with the CV saved as a Word document.
If those people unable to bring along a disc, e-mail the CV in advance to cv.db@ nqe.com and the team will have it ready to show how to upload it on the day.
