* A NEW legal assistant has been appointed at Colchester solicitors Fisher Jones Greenwood.
Hiba Siddique will provide general legal assistance to the commercial, employment and education departments at Fisher Jones Greenwood.
Fisher Jones Greenwood has also recruited David Elliott as a new paralegal.
David has about 25 years’ experience, specialising in housing and social welfare law, and will be responsible for dealing with matters relating to landlord and tenant legislation, homelessness and welfare benefits.
* ESTATE agent Connells has appointed Daniel Gray as its new homes manager.
He will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of developments being sold through Connells in Essex, Hertfordshire, north London, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
* SOLICITOR Lisa Dawson, based at Ellisons in Colchester, has gained specialist status with a national organisation of family lawyers.
Lisa was recognised by Resolution, which is committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems.
* THREE new staff members have joined affordable homes provider Colne Housing.
Alistair Heron is its new community development officer and will be responsible for building relationships with communities.
Daniel Fountain has joined the ICT department as an assistant to the team leader and will deal with day-to-day IT issues and ongoing projects.
Alison Wade has joined the income management department and is responsible for helping residents pay their rent and giving advice to those who have debt problems.
