GROUPS of Wyre Forest musicians are set to bring seasonal cheer to the district with their annual Christmas carol concerts.
Stourport Choral and Operatic Society will raise the rafters of Stourport Civic Hall on Saturday, December 11, while West Midland Light Orchestra are to perform their musical extravaganza at The Stone Manor Hotel the following day.
Spokesman for the 38-piece orchestra, David Parker, said the musicians had been playing at their best in recent years and new additions to their repertoire included lively, foot-tapping big band arrangements, mixed with tunes from the shows.
The Christmas concert programme includes Sweet Georgia Brown, Love Me or Leave Me, Embraceable You and As Time Goes By.
Peter Tomlinson will compere the evening, while Jackie Blake and Garry Holloway will provide vocals. Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, can be purchased on the door.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the choir's nominated charity for the year, Kemp Hospice.
For tickets call Ian Smith on 01562 571980.
