BLINK and you might have missed it but it seems our summer is all but over for this year. So with shorter autumn days and falling temperatures on the horizon, it’s timely that this month we take a look at horse rugs.

Looking after your pride and joy doesn’t mean just keeping them safe from the elements though.

Equine dentist Nicki Johnston and farrier Roger Clark both talk to us this month about the importance of their professions in keeping your mount happy from top to toe.

Also in this edition, we are excited to reveal the new equestrian range launched by none other than respected royal rider Zara Philips in association with Musto, the worldwide sports clothing specialists based right here in Essex.

We hope you enjoy reading and as always we welcome your comments and stories – details of how to contact the County Equestrian Magazine team are found under Meet the Team section.
Happy hacking ... Claire and Celia
