AIRLINES operating from Stansted Airport are expecting a rise in passenger numbers this weekend people look to avoid the British Airways strike.
Although British Airways do not operate flights from the Essex airport, many of their customers on affected flights are trying to beat the disruption by making alternative arrangements.
Ryanair announced yesterday a 'rescue fare', available to passengers already booked on affected British Airways flights.
EasyJet said in February that British Airways Executive Gold card holders will be entitled to free speedy boarding plus on strike days.
Talks between British Airways bosses and union officials to try and stave off the action broke down this afternoon.
