Highways Act 1980 Public Path Diversion Order 2018 Footpath 14 Elmstead

On 15 June 2018 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a part length of public Footpath 14 of unknown width shown by a bold continuous line on the Order Map commencing from a point north east of the A120 dual carriageway and south of Bromley Brook where an arable field meets the A120 highway embankment and a gap in the highway fence running in a westerly direction crossing the A120 before recommencing at the field boundary on the south west side of the A120 for a total distance of approximately 146 metres to a point on the field headland south of the A120, to an alternative route 2 meters in width commencing at the aforementioned start point running in a north westerly direction between the highway fence and highway embankment for 40 metres to a point below some steps then in a south, south westerly direction via the steps for 21 metres to a point on top of the highway embankment. The path then continues in a north westerly direction along the top of the embankment for 213 metres to a point where it meets the unused road bridge structure over the A120 continuing via this structure in a generally westerly direction for 83 metres to a point where it descends via some timber steps to continue along the top of the highway embankment on the south west side of the A120 in a south easterly, easterly then south easterly direction for a final distance of approximately 209 metres to the aforementioned end point.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Tendring District Council Offices, Thorpe Road, Weeley, CO16 9AJ and at Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road CM1 1QH during normal working hours. Copies are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge.

The alternative route comes into force on 20 July 2018, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 12 July 2018 make an application to the High Court. (Argents Lane, West Bergholt & Argents Lane, Fordham Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Argents Lane, West Bergholt and Argents Lane, Fordham Heath in the Borough of Colchester, from the junction with Chitts Hill to the junction with Cooks Mill Road, a distance of approximately 1052m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th August 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2246609 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Spring Lane, Halstead Road, Halstead Road Roundabout, Chitts Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 19th July 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Turkey Cock Lane, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Turkey Cock Lane, Stanway in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 535m northwest from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 125m in a northwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th August 2018 for 2 nights (works to take place between 00:01 Sunday - 05:00 Monday), or where stated on a valid permit (KL741LTN1-47-61-120818-Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while track renewal works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Turkey Cock Lane, Halstead Road, A1124 Halstead Road Southbound, A12 Stanway Bypass Northbound, Essex Yeomanry Way, Western Approach, London Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 19th July 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Road, Thorrington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Thorrington in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 305m southeast of its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th August 2018 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC005CA789W00000IBMULETZ - BT). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while provision of a new pole is undertaken by BT. An alternative route is available via Church Road, Station Road, Clacton Road, Chapel Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 19th July 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Valfreda Way, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Valfreda Way, Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Britannia Crescent to its junction with Spring Lane, a distance of approximately 165m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th July 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2252972 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Britannia Crescent, Rosabelle Avenue, The Avenue, Tower Road, Spring Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 5th July 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Turner Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Turner Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Holden Road to its junction with Mill Street, a distance of approximately 1148m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2018 for 16 days (works to take place Saturday and Sundays only), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2253845 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while trial hole investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Holden Road, Turner Road, Northern Approach Road, Mill Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 19th July 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Abberton Road, Fingringhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Abberton Road, Fingringhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 500m of its junction with Haye Lane for a distance of approximately 125m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2018 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit

(AD037SM54943373 - Anglian Water). The scheduled

dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replacing two manhole covers in the carriageway work is undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Rowhedge Road, Fingringhoe Road, Weir Lane, Old Heath Road, Abbots Road, Mersea Road, Blackheath, Haye Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 19th July 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.2) Order

2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the Borough of Colchester as specified in the Schedule to this Order.



2. A temporary 'No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force.



"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008" and "The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking & Special Parking Area) Order 2014" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 5th July 2018, exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
