(Footpath 27, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2017

(Footpath 27, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County
Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been
continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the
Department for Transport until 21 March 2020.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 27,
Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, the south eastern end between the
boundary fencing on either side of the railway which is at the northern
end of public footpaths 28 & 42 (from Chapel Croft to the railway
boundary and Frating Road and Morrow Lane to the railway
boundary).
The closure commenced on 21st September 2017 and is required for
the safety of the public due to insufficient sight lines of high speed
trains which means there is insufficient time to cross the railway safely.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colchester
Road, Great Bromley in the District of Tendring, from a point
approximately 311m west of its junction with Ardleigh Road for a
distance of approximately 225m in a westerly direction. The closure
is scheduled to commence on 14th March 2018 for 2 days, or where
stated on a valid permit (BC005CN17W014MAREA3RGY07 – BT).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while replace faulty
cable works are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Colchester Road, Ardleigh Road,
Frating Road, Slough Lane, Station Road, John De Bois Hill, Fox
Street, Parsons Heath, Parsons Heath Roundabout, Bromley Road
and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 1st March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Lincoln Way, Colchester)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lincoln Way,
Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with
Guildford Road to its junction with Worcester Road, a distance of
approximately 61m. The closure is scheduled to commence on
19th March 2018 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit
(EP201EH2238798 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates
may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or
displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the
safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works
are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Guildford Road, Hereford Road,
Lichfield Close, Lincoln Way and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 1st March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Moor Road, Great Tey & Tey Road, Aldham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Moor Road,
Great Tey and Tey Road, Aldham in the Borough of Colchester, from
the junction with Chappel Road, Great Tey to the junction with Brook
Road, Aldham, a distance of approximately 2950m. The closure is
scheduled to commence on 30th April 2018 for 5 days, or where
stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2238648 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway
patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Moor Road, Chappel Road, Swan
Street, Oak Road, Chappel Hill, The Street, Colchester Road, Halstead
Road, Ponders Road, Ford Street, New Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Priory Street, Colchester)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary
Suspension of One Way) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made
the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Priory Street, Colchester in the
Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 113m east of its
junction with St Botolophs Street for a distance of approximately
31m in an easterly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction for Priory Street for
the duration of this closure as detailed in ‘The Colchester Borough
(Priory Street) (One Way) Order 1975’.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 11th March
2018 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000679430 –
Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with
appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce
while gas service works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
An alternative route is available via St Botolphs Street, St Botolphs
Circus, Magdalen Street, Brook Street, East Hill and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 1st March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Chapel Road, Fingringhoe)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chapel Road,
Fingringhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately
200m northeast of its junction with South Green Road for a distance
of approximately 32m in a northeasterly direction. The closure is
scheduled to commence on 26th March 2018 for 4 days, or where
stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000685486 – Cadent Gas). The
scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas service
works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
An alternative route is available via Rowhedge Road, Fingringhoe
Road, Weir Lane, Old Heath Road, Abbots Road, Mersea Road,
Blackheath, School Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(East Street, Wivenhoe)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of East Street,
Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with High
Street to its junction Alma Road, a distance of approximately 73m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th March 2018 for
5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2244305 – Essex
County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with
appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while
carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Alma Street, High Street and
vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Causton Road, Colchester)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Causton
Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with
North Station Road to its junction with Albert Street, a distance of
approximately 61m. The closure is scheduled to commence on
27th March 2018 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit
(EP201EH2242905 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates
may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or
displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the
safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works
are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Causton Road, North Station Road,
Serpentine Walk, Albert Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
(Clacton Road, Colchester
& Clacton Road, Elmstead)
(Westbound Only) (Temporary reduction of
speed limit (50mph & 40mph)) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily introduce a speed limit reduction to 50 mph in that
length of Clacton Road, Elmstead in the Borough of Colchester
from a point approximately 400m west of its junction with Tye Road
for a distance of approximately 825m in a westerly direction. (Road
is currently national speed limit).
2. To temporarily introduce a speed limit reduction to 40 mph from the
westernmost point above to a point approximately 90m east of its
junction with Brightlingsea Road, a distance of approximately 940m
on Clacton Road, Colchester (where the road becomes a 50 mph
speed limit).
Please note the above restrictions only apply in the westbound lanes.
The speed limit reduction is scheduled to commence on 28th March
2018 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2238816A
– Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these
works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
www.roadworks.org. The speed limit reduction is required for the
safety of the public and workforce while traffic sign and road marking
improvement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
The Order will come into effect on 15th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
