(Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking and Special Parking Area) (Amendment No.20) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To revoke the 'Disabled Badge Holders Only' restrictions on the

following length of roads in the Borough of Colchester: Road Description



Harsnett Road, South Side: from a point approximately 22 metres Colchester west of its junction with Port Lane to a point



approximately 5.5 metres west of that point.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Footpath 1, East Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 1, East Mersea in the Borough of Colchester, from the end of the ramp on to the beach and continuing in a north easterly direction for a further 30 metres from the top of the ramp, for a total distance of approximately 45 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 8 January 2018 to 12 January 2018 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance to the tidal facing area of the tidal defence embankment is being undertaken.

The alternative route will be diverted from the ramp and the crest of the tidal defence to the beach for the extent of the works, with temporary steps provided as an alternative to the ramp. The Order will come into effect on 8 January 2018 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Footpath 1, Thorrington) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 1, Thorrington in the District of Tendring from its junction with B1027 Tenpenny Hill north for a distance of approximately 1000 metres to the railway crossing.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 8 January 2018 for 4 weeks or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while a barn is being demolished. There is NO suitable diversion route.

The Order will come into effect on 8 January 2018 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chitts Hill, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chitts Hill, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Cooks Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a northerly direction (10m either side of Chitts Hill level crossing). The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th January 2018 for 2 nights, or where stated on a valid permit (KL165LTN1-49-41-270118 - Network Rail). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while rectifying track geometry works are undertaken by Network Rail. An alternative route is available via Chitts Hill - Argents Lane - Spring Lane - Halstead Road - Chitts Hill and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 11th January 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mill Road, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Road, Boxted in the Borough of Colchester from its junction with Ellis Road to its junction with Straight Road, a distance of approximately 413m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th January 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2239615 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Straight Road, Queens Head Road, Ellis Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 21st December 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Harvey Road, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harvey Road, Wivenhoe in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Manor Road to its junction with Ernest Road, a distance of approximately 93m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd January 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2240257 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Manor Road, Rectory Road, Ernest Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 11th January 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Great Tey Road, Marks Tey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Great Tey Road, Marks Tey in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 140m northwest of its junction with Coggeshall Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a northwesterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd January 2018 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000666843 - Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent Gas. An alternative route is available via Coggeshall Road, A120 From J B1024 To J A12, Broad Green, Salmons Lane, East Gores Road, Buckleys Lane, The Street and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 11th January 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Lenz Close, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lenz Close, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Peache Road to its other junction with Peache Road, a distance of approximately 200m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th December 2017 for 24 days or where stated on a valid permit (AD030H10207906 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water main works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Peache Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 27th December 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Northgate Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Suspension of Prohibition of Entry) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Northgate Street, Colchester



in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 75m west of its junction with Middle Mill Road for a distance of approximately 15m in a westerly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the 'Colchester Borough (Northgate Street, Colchester) (Prohibition of Entry) Order 2004 for the duration of the closure.



The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th February 2018 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD030000010460647 -Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Middle Mill Road, St Peters Street, Short Cut Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 11th January 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

and substituting tile numbers TM005 242, TL990 245, TL990 247,

revision 1 to revision 2.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 5 January 2018.
