A COUPLE whose business started from the boot of their car celebrated the official opening of their own shop.
Laurence and Judith Koenick have opened Hair-Tech in St Botolph’s Street, Colchester, four years after their business launched.
The shop sells specialist hair products, including extensions and wigs and has a salon upstairs where hair can be weaved.
The couple bought £1,000 of stock and started selling it from the back of their vehicle four years ago at car boot sales.
As demand grew, they began selling from a stall at Witham market and then at Colchester’s.
They eventually moved into part of a shop in Short Wyre Street, Colchester, before the premises in St Botolph’s Street came up.
Mr Koenick said the new shop was four times bigger than the last space they traded from.
