ENTERTAINMENT store HMV has opened in Colchester’s Culver Square after relocating from the town’s Lion Walk precinct.

The 6,975 sq ft store will be stocking 12,500 music titles, more than 9,000 DVD and 1,500 blu ray releases.

A company spokesman said: “All staff have moved across to Culver Square from our previous Colchester store.

“Colchester has always been a very important town for HMV, so we’re pleased to be increasing the size of HMV Colchester in the move to this brand new store. Store manager Ged and his team are looking forward to welcoming their many loyal customers to the brand new store for the best in music, film and games.”

Good news that HMV has opened its expanded store in culver Sq, but could we not have an actual photo of the store instead of yet another stock shot. Does the Gazette not have any photographers? No journalist with a smartphone even? Yesterday there was a story about overrunning engineering works on the Norwich-Ipswich railway and the photo was of a bullet train!!!
