LITTLE ones are celebrating after money from Colchester Garrison was used to pay for outdoor canopies for three classrooms.
King’s Ford Junior School applied for more than £1,000 to build the extensions so kids can easily work outside.
A ceremony which was attended by Colchester Garrison’s Major Adrian Grinnoneau and town MP, Sir Bob Russell, was held to officially unveil the new additions.
Karen Wallace, headteacher at the Gloucester Avenue school, said: “The school is extremely grateful for the support of the Garrison and the funding which all goes to enhancing learning opportunities for the children.
“We would also like to thank Layer Canopies which built the canopies during the summer holidays.”
