Braintree Sixth Form students celebrated some excellent results - including one of the world’s top achievers in the International Baccalaureate.
The pass rates were 69 per cent for A* to C and the overall pass rate was 97.4 per cent for A* to E.
Among the top A-Level achievers were Aimee Mason and Emma Norris, who both secured three A*.
Aimee will read English and American literature and creative writing at the University of Kent and Emma will go to Queen Mary University in London to read maths with business management.
Twins Kellie and Aimee Barker clocked up six A* to B grades between them and will both be studying at the University of Kent, where Kellie will read sociology and Aimee has opted for Hispanic studies.
International Baccalaureate students gained an average point score of 30, well above international averages.
Top performer Fathema Rahman achieved 38, which is worth more UCAS points than four A* grades at A level and places her in the top eight per cent of IB students in the world.
She will read law at Queen Mary University in London.
Other high scoring IB students include Charlotte Turner, who has gained a place at Exeter University, just a year after her sister Savannah left Braintree Sixth Form for the University of St Andrew’s, and Abbie Vickers who will read accounting and management at the University of Essex.
