BURGLARS have made of with hundreds of pounds of goods following a spate of burglaries across Tendring.
Crooks have targeted homes in Walton, Harwich in the past five days.
In the latest raid burglars targeted a house in Clay Road, Walton, stealing several items of jewellery.
The break in happened sometime between 12.10pm and 6.20pm on Friday.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “The owners discovered their home had been ransacked and jewellery had been taken from a bedroom.
“A safe had also been forced off the bedroom wall and left on the landing.”
Jewellery stolen includes a diamond and white gold ring, a diamond solitaire ring, a gold patterned bangle and a Links style white gold bracelet.
A house in Fronks Road, Dovercourt, was burgled between 10am and 5.30pm on Tuesday.
Officers believe thieves forced open the conservatory door of the property and stole a gold chain and more than £200 in cash.
Would-be burglars also tried to force their way into a home in St Andrew’s Road, Weeley, between 10am and 1.30pm on Thursday.
They attempted to jemmie open the back door, but were unable to gain entry.
