URGENT calls have been made for action on the A120 amid fears it is falling apart.
Harwich councillor Dave McLeod is concerned the carriageway between Primrose Hill and Horsley Cross is plagued by potholes and uneven tarmac.
Last year he asked the Highways Agency to take action but says nothing has been done.
“There is a real concern with regards to the state of the road coming into the summer season with people travelling back and forth,” he said.
A Highways Agency spokesman said: “Safety is our top priority and we work hard to ensure that England’s motorway and trunk road network is among the safest in the world."
