Heavy traffic due to broken down military vehicles and train problems

First published in News

DRIVERS are facing long delays in Colchester and on the A12 after three army vehicles broke down.

The vehicles broke down at Hatfield Peverel earlier this morning, and there are now tailbacks to J27 at Colchester.

The heavy traffic has been made worse by serious train problems between Colchester and London.

There have been no trains running all morning due to overrunning engineering work.

There is also heavy congestion around the town as a result.

Not even our underfunded army is unlucky enough to have three vehicles break down simultaneously in exactly the same place. Did this not strike whosoever posts these news articles as a tad on the coincidental side?
The scenario (having driven past the vehicles this morning) was that one vehicle had broken down (the smoke coming from under the bonnet was a bit of a clue) and the others had stopped, safely, further down the A12 to wait.

The only people I saw broke down yesterday where teenagers in 03 and older bangers of cars mainly hot hatches.
Three of them in the space of 2 miles, how those things looked like they got through MOT's well?
You want to drive around you need to get your priorities right ie less drinking and clubbing and more spending money on your horse.
