POLICE have released an e-fit of a suspected crook believed to be responsible for a burglary in Colchester.

The break-in happened in Keble Close at around 3.30am on April 25.

The suspect is believed to have entered the house through an unsecure kitchen door.

He walked to the lounge door but was spotted by the householder and ran off.

A bag in the kitchen had been rifled through but nothing was stolen.

The suspect is described as white, with short reddish brown hair, around 5ft 5in tall, of slight build and in his 40s.

He was scruffy looking and wore a black zip-up fleece and black thermal gloves.
