STEEL spikes placed on a fast stretch of road could have caused a serious crash, according to a concerned resident.
Two drivers suffered punctures while driving around the sharp corner on Harwich Road near Jenkin’s Hill in Mistley last Tuesday night.
The two inch steel spikes were left at the exact same spot as a hazard sign which has been sprayed with black paint.
Two of John Meredith’s colleagues suffered punctures. He said: "Someone had gone out of their way and made these."
