A LORRY hit a railway bridge and flipped on its side after an early morning incident in Lawford.
The HGV collided with the bridge on Station Road shortly after 5am.
Fire crews were called to the scene after retained firefighter passing the scene raised the alarm.
Crews checked over the female driver and stemmed a fuel leak from the vehicle.
The driver was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived but was suffering shock.
Railway engineers were also called to the site and there were delays to trains following the crash.
Police have closed the road while the fuel spill is cleared. The road is expected to reopen at 12pm.
Firefighters made the area and vehicle safe before leaving the scene just before 6am.
