A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm after another man was shot in the neck with an air pellet.
Armed police and the force’s helicopter were called to Alton Park Road on Thursday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for Essex Police said the “disturbance” started at about 2.50pm.
She said: “A member of the public had reported seeing a man with what she described as a handgun and a fight taking place.
“A man was located with a minor injury caused by what was thought to be an air weapon.”
He is thought to have suffered a pellet mark on his neck.
A 20-year-old man from Clacton was later arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm. Police are also looking for a second suspect.
