AN outdoor “rave” organiser has been given the go-ahead to run an all-day party in Wivenhoe.

Council officers had objected to plans for the Fre- QKlash event on the May bank holiday.

They were concerned last year’s event had been too loud and some residents living near the car park at Broad Lane Sports Ground, in Elmstead Road, had complained.

But councillors yesterday said organiser Rob Harding deserved one more chance at this year’s event, due to run from noon to 9pm on Sunday, May 4.

Wivenhoe may fair is on a Monday

Plenty of pouting, fake tans and general pretentiousness at Fre- QKlash events. And thats just the blokes.

Why are people so averse to having their normal routine even mildly affected. This boring suburban mentality is tiresome and grotesque. It is one day of the year.

Personally, the crowd at Freqlash is rubbish. The people attending have no idea what a rave is or is suppose to be about.

Sorry, I was misled by thwe story which says it is on "the May bank holiday", of which there are two, both on a Monday. But in another sentence it says it is on a Sunday, and the one in early May, so it should not interfere at all with the May Fair. In that case, let's hope everyone enjoys themselves, even the pouting pretentious blokes.
But my question remains - is there going to be a May Fair this year?
