Diver's watch taken as crooks ransack family home

First published in News

BURGLARS ransacked a home, stealing cash and a diver's watch.

The crooks broke into a house in Church Lane, Fingringhoe, through a rear window during the afternoon of Thursday, February 6.

DC Adele Brown, investigating officer, said: "This is a rather unique watch and so if anyone has been offered it for sale or is offered it in unusual circumstances, then we would like to know.

"This family has been devastated that their home has been invaded by strangers who have then stolen from them.”

Officers have carried out a forensic examination of the scene and conducted house-to-house enquiries.

Anyone with information should contact detectives at Colchester police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
