TAXPAYERS will pay 17p a day next year for their fire service.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service has frozen council tax for a fourth year, following a decision by the Essex Fire Authority today.
It means a band D household will continue to pay £66.42 a year for the fire service in 2014/15.
A spokesman for the service said: “Prudential financial management means the service is able to keep the council tax at the same rate set in 2010.”
