COLCHESTER United defender Magnus Okuonghae was involved in a vicious brawl in the early hours of the morning.
The senior U’s player, who has worn the captain’s armband, was filmed by town centre CCTV at 3.30am in a fight with three other men after two friend groups had fallen out in town centre bar Qube.
A court heard how Munyaradzi Kamutero, Fairson Nyamunokora and David Ibiyode were ordered to leave the club, in Crouch Street, but when they got back to their car, in High Street, Mr Okuonghae, and some of the group he was out with, was waiting.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard Mr Okuonghae had taken his belt off and wrapped it around his fist, ready to fight.
Kamutero and Ibiyode, both 20 and from Kent, and Nyamunokora, 20, from Staffordshire, admitted using threatening words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence on August 24 when they appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
They will be sentenced next month.
