A FLOOD warning has been issued for the River Stour from Boxted to Dedham.
The Environment Agency said properties at risk are those in Stratford St Mary and Dedham.
The warning issued on Saturday morning says: “Following the recent heavy rainfall river levels continue to rise as the fluvial water works its way down through the river network.
“The peak of the river is now near Lamarsh. River levels are likely to continue to rise slowly.
“Over the next 12 hours the forecast is for no significant rain.
“Properties are at risk in Stratford St Mary and Dedham.
“The Environment Agency is monitoring the situation closely, working alongside partners including the Met Office and local authorities.”
There is also a Flood alert for the River Colne from Great Yeldham to and including Colchester.
Elsewhere Argents Road in West Bergholt is thought to be blocked due to flooding near Newbridge Hill and Chitts Hill.
