PLANS for a pedestrian and cycle footbridge in Colchester’s Castle Park have been submitted.
The new 23.3m long and 1.7m wide bridge, designed for walkers and cyclists, would replace an existing 20m footway over the River Colne, next to Castle Park Cricket Ground.
It will also be designed to be used by vehicles weighing up to 3 tonnes.
Colchester Council planners have recommeded the plans are approved at a meeting on February 13.
